This post takes a look at the top five Acuras of all time. Acura is Honda’s luxury line of vehicles, manufactured in Japan with superior technology and incredible safety standards.
Over the past two and a half decades, Acura, Honda’s luxury line, has become one of the world’s most recognizable brands. Look around next time you pull into a parking lot – it’s unlikely Acura is absent.
From sporty little coupes to spacious SUVs, Acura is accessible to a wide variety of consumers. Acura is the perfect combination of affordability and class, whether you’re looking for an elegant vehicle for yourself or your entire family.
Here’s a look at the top five Acura models of all time:
5. 1997 Acura Integra Type-R
The Acura Integra Type-R launched in 1986. No stranger to recognition, the Integra Type-R has long been believed to be one of the best front-wheel-drive cars ever.
The original 1986 model was nothing to be sneezed at, but the 1997 Acura Integra Type-R stole the show with its muscular, sporty build and incredible giant wing in the rear.
The Integra made the best car list many times courtesy of its front-drive chassis handling. Engineered for performance, the 1997 Integra boasted 195 hp. However, this particular model was a rare find, as only 300 were manufactured for all of 1997. This rarity helped the 1997 Integra Type-R retain its price value over the years, that’s for sure!

4. 2011-2014 Acura TSX Sport Wagon
The Acura TSX Sport Wagon only existed for a single generation. This fan-favorite had a 2.4-liter inline-four engine mated to an automatic transmission. Jetting 201 horses, loaded with a killer sound system as well as iPod integration, the family friendly TSX Sport Wagon had zero competition aside from the BMW 3 Series Touring.
Unfortunately, every model of Acura’s TSX Sport Wagon was affected by the major Takata airbag recall. This (dangerous) inconvenience aside, the TSX Sport Wagon made a major impression in its single generation lifetime!
3. 2016 Acura RDX
When Acura’s larger SUV, the MDX, grew in size, it also grew in price. Enter the RDX, Acura’s compact crossover SUV. Still a luxury vehicle, the RDX has a rather affordable price tag for an Acura.
2016 brought some new design elements to the RDX, making it even more desirable to consumers. The upgraded 3.5-liter V6 engine and 279 hp appealed to buyers as well. The RDX’s speed, efficiency, and style coupled with Acura’s safety and reliability reputation make the RDX a shining star in the Acura lineup for sure.
2. 2014 Acura RLX
The Acura RLX is a full-size luxury sedan combining world-class comfort with performance. Its 3.5-liter V6 engine gives the RLX 310 horses. Additionally, the RLX boasts a six-speed automatic transmission with paddles, giving the driver some joy and control of operating the vehicle.
The RLX has top speeds of 135 mph (217.26 kilometers per hour) and can go from 0-60mps in 6.3 seconds. Its speed and paddle shifters add to the fun of driving a luxury vehicle.
1. 2017 Acura NSX
Our number one pick when it comes to the top five Acuras of all time is the 2017 NSX. This six-figure price tagged vehicle doesn’t come cheap, but the performance is out of this world. The NSX’s mid-mounted 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 gives the vehicle a whopping 573 horses.
With all of the above features plus a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and AWD, the NSX is like a street-legal supercar powered with the best of Japanese technology. Sexy and sleek, the powerful NSX features top-notch technology everywhere you look and touch.
With Acura, no matter the model, you can expect an economical luxury vehicle with a smooth ride and tons of reliability and safety features.
